VET providers are invited to participate in the big CEDEFOP survey “The Future of VET”!

CEDEFOP [https://www.cedefop.europa.eu/en] is the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training. This major study will highlight recent changes and future directions in the VET sector. The aim is to gain better insights into challenges and opportunities for the education sector in the next decade. One month to go – on 30th of November the project partners of the RAFT project will meet with trainers and experts in Gleisdorf, Austria, for a three-day training workshop in which the participants will discuss methods and models of assessing technical skills in link with soft skills by focussing on the occupations selected for the RAFT project – green area maintenance and HORECA. Chance B is hosting this event. We are looking forward to finally meeting all project partners in person 😊

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of EASPD, Chance B had the opportunity to apply for the EASPD Innovation Awards. So we submitted practice “TOL Dual – Transition towards open labor market” (TaB Dual) and: We won!!! On October 14, we received the award for an innovation in the category “Education”!

We believe that sustainable integration into the open labor market requires the empowerment of people with disabilities and an official validation of skills to ensure that in case of a job change or internal career development, the acquired skills are recognizable to (potential) employers. This is exactly the process we want to support with our KomKom validation tool!

In October 2021 the KomKom II project has reached an important milestone:
KomKom has now achieved the allocation according to the Austrian NQF in all 6 submitted areas, including green area maintenance and HORECA! These are the first informal trainings in Austria at level 1 and 2. The project “RAFT”, with Chance B as project partner, also contributes to the formalisation of an evaluation of “competences learned through work” with a view to their certification. RAFT deals with validations of informal learning experiences at level 3 and wants to preserve the informal character of the training as well as evaluate learning outcomes objectively. This is exactly why this project is so interesting for us, Chance B, and we are very happy to be part of this process as a project partner.
